Quilmes at the door, Puerto Madryn, Chubut
Meet Quilmes, the stray cat that became family 8 or 9 months ago when Lisa started feeding her regularly.
She’s named after the most common beer in Argentina with status of a national symbol – Cerveza Quilmes. The beer again has its name from the Quilmes, a native tribe who lived in the surroundings of Tucumán.
Our little Quilmes will be thrown out into the streets when we leave next week, after all summer is coming …
Just kidding, Lisa has already found her a new home – and new people to bite (in fact I was not sure which category to use: family and friends or wildlife).
I’ll miss her.
